Woke to a splendid view over the mountains. the location off the main route offers stunning scenery. The large pine-clad restaurant provided a cozy atmosphere for meals.

Breakfast was underwhelming with cold bacon and fried eggs, lacking variety for longer stays. The paths from accommodation were unlit and icy, requiring more attention to safety details. The experience of fire alarms going off at odd hours left guests confused, and the lack of housekeeping protocol was a bit disrespectful to privacy.

I thoroughly enjoyed my stay at Hotel Eyjafjallajoekull. The breakfast was wonderfully varied, featuring delicious hot options, including perfectly cooked bacon and sausages. The staff were exceptionally friendly and accommodating, making me feel right at home after my long travels.

My stay was marred by uncomfortable beds and non-existent pillows. The cleaning service was nearly absent, with only one day of tidying up during the entire week. Additionally, the lack of ventilation made the room feel stuffy and unpleasant.
